December 2-3, 2025 – Representatives from all five partner institutions gathered in Kaunas, Lithuania for CAELUM’s second transnational project meeting, marking a pivotal moment in our mission to transform university libraries into agents of crisis response through open science.
A Shared Vision in Action
Bringing together the entire partnership, this two-day event provided a crucial opportunity to review project progress, align on upcoming activities, and—most importantly—connect directly with the Lithuanian librarians. The meeting combined strategic partner coordination with a dedicated training workshop for Lithuanian librarians, creating a powerful blend of planning and practical action. The librarians had the chance to learn about the CAELUM project and its case studies across the five countries. Moreover, they participated in an interactive hands-on activity, organised by Web2Learn, enabling them to understand and apply the CAELUM methodology within their own contexts.
Five Case Studies, One Mission
During the meeting, partners showcased the design of the five case studies that form the heart of CAELUM’s innovation:
- Mental health and well-being
- Employability
- Disability
- Dis/misinformation in conflict
- Information overload
By exploring these critical themes, we’re demonstrating how university libraries can provide meaningful support communities facing contemporary crises.
Stay tuned for the upcoming updates on the implementation of the case studies that will take place from January-June 2026 in Estonia, Lithuania, Greece, Germany and Ukraine!
